Sadly, our hearts mourn the loss of Laura, from a life of so much potential. She had many challenges throughout her life, but she will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humour and generosity to people she met.
Laura was born August 17, 1970 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and died April 15, 2023 at her residence in Vernon, B.C.
She attended high school in Oakbank, Manitoba and moved to Burnaby, B.C. where her daughter Jessica was born. A few years later, she returned to Vernon and was employed by Safeway and later in Salmon Arm. Her interest in fitness led to her certification as a Personal Trainer employed at the Recreation Centre for the City of Leduc, Alberta.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Booth (Steve) and grandchildren Parker and Mila, parents Jack and Linda Bernhardt, brother Warren Bernhardt (Jen) and nephew Logan, and many friends and relatives in Manitoba and Alberta.
A memorial service will be held June 8 at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3412 - 15 Avenue, Vernon, B.C. Laura has been cremated and her ashes will be returned to the earth in various locations that mattered to her.
