In Loving Memory ~

Larry passed away at Creekside Landing on January 22, 2024. He was born on September 11, 1934, at the Vernon Hospital.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Doreen; children, Katherine (Ken), Karl (Dianna) and Nadine; his five siblings, Darwin (Marjorie), Sylvia (Dennis), Mervin (Dot), Carol, Melva (Rob); grandchildren, Dustin, Tawny (Darren), Kara (Brandon), Chris, Shannon; great-grandchildren, Liam, Lyric, Jace, Kach, Lex and Keira as well as his sister-in-law Phil and brother-in-law Dwayne.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Jim and Margaret Churchill, his brother Verne and his sister Lorna.

Larry grew up in Falkland with his three brothers and four sisters. He worked at Maple Leaf Groceries in Vernon where he attended High School. He worked for his dad at the Sawmill in Falkland and drove a logging truck delivering logs to the Mill.

Larry obtained his welding ticket following graduation and went on to a successful career with the Ministry of Highways retiring as Regional Manager.

Larry began his volunteering career early, calling square dances for the teen program. In his retirement, Larry volunteered for the Chase Lions Club managing the medical equipment loans. He was also an avid curler and volunteered at the Chase Curling Club for many years.

Larry and Doreen loved to camp and spent some winters in Arizona and took some exotic cruises around the world with Darwin and Marjorie.

The family would like to thank Creekside Landing and Dr. Peters for the care they provided to our loved one and our family.

A small family gathering will be announced at a later date.
