It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Kimberly Ann Noakes, 61 years old, of Nanaimo, BC.
Kim was a caring wife to Richard Noakes, loving daughter to Barbara Rivier, thoughtful sister to Richard Bruce (Debbie) and Kirsten McKenna (Paul), brilliant Auntie to Oban, Lindsay, Ryan and Eric.
One of the foundation employees at Costco (33 years), Kim will be dearly missed by her many customers and co-workers (Burnaby & Nanaimo).
Kim loved making other people happy, so much so that many of her customers would greet her with a big hug. If you didn’t find Kim at the casino chatting people up and making them laugh, she would be nose-deep in an antique shop searching for treasures. In good weather, Kim would spend hours tending to her garden, her absolute favourite pastime, or driving her little red sports car around town.
To those in her inner circle, Kim always made you feel special, never missing an occasion or opportunity to share her verve for life. “Live, Love, Laugh” she would close all of her letters and cards with, and that she did. Kim was fiercely loyal, hard-working and a bundle of enthusiasm in a pint-sized package.
Too well loved to be forgotten, see you on the other side Kimbo. xx
After a brief illness, Kim passed away in hospital on January 26th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim’s honour to the BCSPCA of Nanaimo at: http://support.spca.bc.ca/goto/kimnoakes Obituary-
