Kevin James Dean left us unexpectedly and much too soon at the age of 52, on January 10, 2022.
Kevin was born in Vancouver, B.C. April 11, 1969 to Jim & Roberta Dean. He was the oldest of three children, followed by his sister, Kimberlee (Dave) and brother, Ryan (Tarrah).
He was a husband of 32 years to Cheryl (Flynn) Dean and a dedicated father to Toryn, Carson & Sydney; and a loving uncle to Carmen, Cole, Brie, Koen, Ethan, & Sunday.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family, his Fortis and Madill friends, and all the wonderful friends that he made during his life, including his dear friend Jim who shared his love and enthusiasm for our beautiful coast with Kevin during their many boat trips.
Kevin was a hardworking, loyal employee. He worked for over 30 years as a welder, a trade he shared with his father, brother, brother in-law, and his son, Carson. Kevin showed his love for people in practical ways by chopping firewood, helping with a move, fixing a bike, or telling you 'your' opinion, and was willing to drop everything to help someone in need without expecting anything in return (unless they offered rum).
Kevin enjoyed watching and feeding birds in his back yard, as well as discovering new music, often introducing songs to you, that you heard years ago.
If you spent any time with Kevin, you would know that his highest priority was his family, which he was very proud of.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this heartbreaking time. There will be no funeral at Kevin's request.
