May 10, 1971 - July 19, 2023
In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we, the Cummings Family, have to announce the passing of our dear son, father, partner, and friend, Kevin. Kevin was involved in a
motorcycle accident on July 1, 2023. He succumbed to his injuries and passed away peacefully on the morning of July 19, 2023, at the age of 52.
Kevin was born on May 10, 1971, to Greg & Shirley Cummings in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Two years later, the family grew again with the birth of Greg & Shirley's second son, Brad, who was Kevin's best friend. The family relocated to B.C. shortly after in 1973.
Kevin was no average man - he was truly one of a kind and always had a vision. Kevin was as brave and outgoing as he was kind and caring. He was an amazingly talented, gifted, and loving son. We will always treasure the memories of our adventures together. As a father, he was a role model that we will forever look up to. We will be forever grateful for the character that he built within us. Kevin was one to walk his own line - never one to care about what other people may have thought. He was a leader through and through and for all of us that he made an impact on, we will forever carry that forward.
To say that Kevin was a hard worker would be an understatement, as he had a natural drive that made him determined to succeed with absolute excellence. In his earlier years, he operated heavy equipment, which was something he loved to do all of his life. For the majority of his career however, Kevin worked in, and hugely helped shape the family business that still runs today. In business, he was what most call a "straight shooter", and it is that quality in him of which so many respected. Kevin's raw passion and calibre will forever be carried on, both in business and within our own selves.
For leisure, Kevin enjoyed many things - spending time with his family and his dog, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, listening to music, travelling and meeting new people, and arguably most of all, spending time in nature at his paradise in Mission. Kevin was one to always say how grateful we should all be for each and every day, and that belief in him was very clear in how he lived every moment.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Greg & Shirley; His Children, Bradin & Madeline; His partner Sandra, along with her children, Megan & Alaina; And his Grandmother, "Grammy" Peggy. Kevin was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Brad; And his Grandfathers, Elmer & Pete. Kevin had a strong faith in God that he held to the end. He will live forever through all of our stories, memories, and people he has impacted.
We would like to thank all of the staff at Royal Columbian Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care for Kevin.
