Ken Hemminger, of Maple Ridge, BC, passed away in February 2024 after a years-long journey with Parkinson's Disease.

Ken was born in Winnipeg in 1946 but spent most of his life in Maple Ridge. He was a Realtor in the community for over 40 years and had varied and diverse interests and activities throughout his life. Many of these interests were fostered by the Boy Scouts, which had a great influence on his pleasant attitude and demeanour.

As he grew older, his adventurous and thoughtful spirit continued to grow through a love of hiking, canoeing, and traveling which led to many stories and life-long friendships. He also had a deep passion for gardening and landscaping. His love of hostas and sharing them with friends and neighbours is a legacy that will live on in the gardens of many.

Ken is deeply missed by his children Cory (Tina) and Jana, his grandkids Ilse and Kieran, brother Al (Sharon), sister Karen (Ken), his longtime friend Bernice, and all of his friends, family, and neighbours.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 11am on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, please consider making a donation to the 31st Alouette Baden Powell Guild, a local Scouting group that was close to Ken's heart.
