In loving memory ~
Our beloved Karin passed into the arms of her Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ, on September 16, 2023, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital after a brave, courageous and valiant battle with Leiomyosarcoma.
Born May 7, 1957, in Zwolle, Holland, Karin grew up in New Westminster, after graduating high school, Karin went on the become valedictorian of the inaugural class of Certified Dental Assistants in 1977 at Douglas College. Married in 1977, Karin brought the loves of her life, her sons, into the world in 1979 and 1981. Karin took great joy in her family, her children, daughters in laws and especially her eight wonderful grandchildren. Karin’s gifts included kindness, selflessness, thoughtfulness, hospitality, servitude, home decor and thrift storing, all with a strong faith.
Predeceased by her father Albertus, Karin will be lovingly missed by her mother Wilma, husband Daryl, sons Ben, (Sarah) and Matthew, (Candice), grandchildren Caleb, Caden, Moxon, Vayda, Jaxson, Matix, Arwen and Avianna, sisters Louise, (Geoff), Iris and Kim, (Phillip) as well as aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family is grateful for the care Karin received from the nurses and doctors at BC Cancer and Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Celebration of Life was held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 3215 Trethewey St., Abbotsford, B.C.
