With a thankful heart and confident in the Life of the World to come, John Lancaster was gathered to his forebears on 21 June 2023. Born in Victoria on 18 September 1938, a son of the rectory, he dedicated his professional life to the Sacred Ministry on Vancouver Island before retiring to the mainland. He leaves to mourn his wife Miriam and daughter Jordan. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 5 July, at 2 pm at the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury, 2028 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, followed by interment at Ross Bay Cemetery, Victoria, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, 6 July. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Augustine School Building Fund, 2154 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V6K 0E3.
