In loving memory ~
In the early hours of October 28th with her husband and children by her side Joan peacefully left this world. Her unexpected passing leaves us with sadness for the loss and gratefulness for the time we had with her both in life and to say good-bye.
Joan was an amazing woman who had a way of making everyone feel special and any situation better. She was a devoted wife to Jim, a loving and supportive mother to Debra (Kenny), Todd (Jackie), and Paula (Mike), and her grandsons Nathan, Tanar, Andrew, Hunter and Caleb were her greatest joy. There was nothing better than a "grandma hug".
Joan's friendship was a gift to so many, including her sister Sharon. Anyone lucky enough to know her experienced the depth of acceptance and positive influence she had on the lives of the people she met. Joan always had a listening ear, a smile to share, and a practical solution for problems. Joan loved fiercely with a loyalty that was present in all that she did.
The family is hosting an informal open house on November 25th from 3-6PM at the Munro residence on Gold River Hwy where you are invited to come and share stories, memories, and refreshments.
