It is with great sadness that we announce, after a brief illness, Joan Elizabeth Williams passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2022 with loving family members by her side.
Joan was born October 11th, 1941 in Lytham-St. Annes, England. She was predeceased by her parents Douglas and Margaret Towell and her sister Hazel Towell and is survived by numerous family members.
Mum worked as a care aid at Fir Park Village for many years where her empathy, strong work ethic, and support for her fellow workers shone through. Mum was such a strong and caring person and there are countless occasions when she would put the wants and needs of others well before hers.
Mum loved animals, was an avid reader, and when given the opportunity, she could be found at an oceanside beach. Her favourite place though was tending to her beautiful yard and garden.
Joan will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her and there will be a small celebration of her life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial tribute may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
