In loving memory ~
Jean Christy Palmer passed away January 12th peacefully at 98 years of age. She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia November 9, 1924. The family later settled in Entwistle Alberta farming. Jean went to normal school to become a teacher, and taught at many of the rural schools in that area.
She met the love of her life, Bill, and they were married July 9, 1948. They lived in Smithers for 57 years until they had to move south for Bill to access dialysis treatment. Jean spent her last few years in Edmonton at Churchill Manor.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Bill, her parents, and six siblings. She is survived by daughter Sue (Jack) son Don (Linda), grandchildren Jodi (Troy), Glenn (Tracy) Heather (Scott) Shaun (Bree), Scott, Lindsey (Corey). Great Grandchildren Taylor (Joel) Sydney (Justin) Jakob, Sawyer, Norah, Maddie, Jackson, Blake Great-great grandchildren Boden and Ledger. Jean is also survived by brother-in-law Vernon Palmer and sister-in-law Marie MacRae.
No service by request. A family memorial will be held this summer.
