Janet Howarth passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on May 31, 2023. Born in Twickenham, England she grew up on the Isle of Wight during WW2.
She lived in London during the infamous "Great Smog of London" in 1952 and experienced London's swinging 60s.
She immigrated to Canada working as a Registered Nurse in Alberta and BC.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lisa (Richard), nephew Malcolm (Lori) and close friends Claire and Marion, among others.
She was predeceased by her caring husband, Dennis.
Janet was a talented pianist, loved animals (especially hippos), gnomes and all things British. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling, walking her dogs in the beautiful parks of White Rock/South Surrey, reading, and donating to numerous charities.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, strength, acceptance and touching thoughtfulness.
Service will be held at a later date.
