In loving memory ~

James (Jim) (Gator) Garrett, 81 years, living in Westbank BC, passed away on April 30, 2024. Raised in Vancouver, where he married his wife, Terrie. Jim moved to Port Hardy, Richmond, Castlegar, and retired in Westbank. He loved to travel and rode motorcycles for a lot of his life, most recently with the "Jurassic Riders" in the Kelowna area. A secret he kept from his family for some years - at age 16 he bought his first motorcycle that he kept in a neighbor's garage. Jim always laughed that he managed to slip one by his parents. Jim is survived by Terrie, his wife of 55 years; predeceased by his sister, Jan Turner, 13 days earlier; survived by niece, Trish Malcolm (Rob); nephew, Paul Kennedy (Natalie); great nieces and nephews; life-long friends, Gordon and Betty Bulteel; friend, Gerry Fitzpatrick and her late husband, Ted, who was a very special friend of Jim's; good friends Helen Lennox, and Summer and Chris Behiels. Jim is also survived by his sister, Sheila Sexton (John). If you wish, donations may be made in Jim's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. "You're the love of my life Jim, and I'll be with you again one day." - Terrie.
