June 14, 1948 - November 21, 2022
In loving memory ~
Jack was born in Montreal and grew up and married Linda in Toronto in July 1972. They moved to Duncan in 1976 and settled in to enjoy a quieter life and the many friends they encountered on the way.
Jack was a heavy duty mechanic for his entire career and beyond, helping others to fix and create projects that would be challenging and satisfying.
He is survived by his wife Linda and brother Roger of Montreal, and predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Jacqueline Fonck.
Jack's passion was clay target shooting and his longtime membership in The Cowichan Valley Trap & Skeet Club, and Cowichan Fish and Game. He was president of the CVTSC for many years and was always available for his share of the work parties and events they undertook. He made many wonderful friends within the shooting community. He valued their friendship and support.
Jack loved his Triumph Rocket III. He was very proud to ride with Linda and always rode behind to protect her from the perils of the road. They enjoyed trips on their motorcycles and especially touring the "back roads".
Jack is sorely missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan, BC. Stories and memories of Jack are welcome to be shared.
