Irene Riediger of Chilliwack, B.C., passed away into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 89 on May 9th at the Cascade Care Home. Irene was born December 16, 1932 in Herbert Saskatchewan. She was the third child of seven born to Jacob and Tina Toews.
In 1944 Irene moved to Rosedale and married Peter Riediger in 1953. Irene worked at a number of different places including several chicken hatcheries in Chwk; as a secretary at Central Community Church; as a clerk at Woolworth's and as a clerk/aide for Home Health.
Irene served faithfully in Central Community Church throughout her life. T
he last four months of her life, Irene lived at Cascade Care Home in Chilliwack and she loved the staff and residents.
Irene is survived by her 3 children; Les (Marilyn), Carol, Brian and two granddaughters, Carissa & Janelle. Irene was predeceased by her husband Peter.
Memorial donations can be made to International Children's Haven. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 16th at Central Community Church at 10:30 am.
