Irene passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 16, 2023, at the age of 92. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, September 4, 1930, one of ten children born to Margret and Patrick Bethel.
Irene was predeceased by husband Alec, children Gord, Rick and Leora, and siblings, Rose, Pat, Danny, Joan, Evelyn, Margret and Robert.
She is survived by children Ron Glazier(Linda), Catherine Dubinsky, Gerry Knoll (Willow), Susan Kivisalu, Denise Scarborough (Joe), Carolanne Miller, stepdaughter Linda McLeod, and siblings Elaine Szopa {Roland) and Ron Bethel, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Irene was very close with her family and church and will be greatly missed. RIP
Services were held Saturday May 20, 2023, 1:30 pm, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, School Street Chilliwack.
