It is with great sadness that the family of Ian Thomas announces his sudden passing on February 15th at the age of 70. Although he was taken from us too soon, Ian’s gregarious personality and desire to help others made him well-known to all in the community.
Beloved partner, father and grandfather, Ian is survived by his partner Lydia Jakovac; his children Johnny Thomas (Cassie) and Crystal Besplug; his grandson Gus; his former wife Gloria Thomas; his sisters Laurie Claffey (Lyle) and Vivian Schlachter (Glenn) and his many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Rae and his mother Audrey of Saskatchewan.
A celebration of Ian’s life will be held in Trail, BC at the Gateway Church, 8320 3B Hwy, on Wednesday, March 2 at 11 am. All are welcome.
