On February 2, 2024, Howard Arthur Nygren of Fort Saskatchewan AB died at the age of 70 years from a critical respiratory illness.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Kristine, son Brett, daughter Casey, granddaughter Willow, grandson Holden, brothers Richard (Kathleen), David (Lorraine), Dale (Violet), Gerald (Ruth), Kevin, two nieces, eleven nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
Howard was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Irene Nygren and his nephew Shane Nygren.
Howard was born in Wadena Saskatchewan and moved near Golden B.C. in his youth. He worked in B.C. as an Industrial Insulator before moving to Fort Saskatchewan in 1980 where he was employed by Sherritt Gordon for over 25 years. He then became an Occupational Health and Safety Officer and worked at several job sites until his retirement.
Howard loved to camp, fish and spend time with his family and friends.
Howard has been cremated and will be interred in the cemetery at Golden B.C. in the spring, as he wished. A gathering of family and friends will be held at that time.
