It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother. Helen passed away peacefully in her sleep at the golden age of 96. She was born in Boyle, AB on Jan. 14, 1927, the youngest of 6 siblings.
She moved to Chilliwack in 1948 and raised her family here. Helen loved life, and family time brought her much joy. If there was a special occasion, she was always the one to bring us together, with her fabulous cooking and baking her famous black forest cakes. Helen lived life fully, dancing, gardening, had a great sense of humour and a beautiful smile which warmed everyones hearts. She was a caring, loving mother, nana and friend. Our family is blessed to have so many beautiful memories with mom and we will hold those memories in our hearts forever.
Helen, is survived by her loving children, Ken Erickson (April), Betty Allen, Yvonne Rite (Jason), Rhonda Corbett (Al), and grandchildren, Chris & Devin, Trevor & Wade, Lisa & Amy and Alex, Clay & Sydney, plus 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was pre-deceased by her parents, 6 siblings and husband Warren.
She will be missed by all that knew her. Rest in peace, Mom. We will love you forever and always.
