Hazel Britton passed peacefully at Stanford Seniors Centre, September 13th, 2022 in Parksville, BC at the age of 95.
Survived by her children, Frank Britton, Surrey, BC, and Karen Maidens, Kenora, Ont. and 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her first husband Frank Britton SR. in 1977 and her second husband William Wood in 2007 as well as her daughter, Barbara Hubbard in 2019. Hazel was born July 28th, 1927 in Nesbitt, MB to John and Margaret Brodie. She married Frank Britton, in 1947. The couple welcomed three children into their home: Frank, Barbara, and Karen. Hazel was a loving and devoted mother and wife and loved to cook and bake. She was an active member of her local church.
Her funeral is scheduled for Thursday, September 22 at 11 AM at First Memorial Funeral Home at 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, with a reception to follow at this location. Celebrant Laura-Lee Parris will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Hazel's life.
