It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dad who passed away peacefully at Yuculta Lodge.
Predeceased by his parents Napoleon and Marie-Anne, sisters Florence and Alfoncine, brother Leopold, infant son Terrance and wife Cecilia.
Survived by his son David, daughters Susan, and Brenda (Dave), Grandchildren Lorne (Josie), Shane (Robyn), Jason, Casey and Heather several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as his beloved cat Bean.
Dad was born in Iroquois Falls, Ont., and joined the Armed Forces in 1941, after a stint back east he was shipped to the west coast to Terrace where he met and married our mom Cecilia. He served in the Armed Forces till October 1946. Mom and Dad lived in Terrace for a few years then moved to Ontario for a brief time, returned to Terrace and shortly thereafter moved to Ocean Falls. They lived in Ocean Falls from 1953-1966, where he then transferred to the mill in Campbell River.
Dad was a very proud hard-working man, worked full time at the mill and in his off time built three family homes in Campbell River as well as helped several friends and family build their homes, Dad was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed many crafts, woodworking, and gardening. After he retired dad and mom travelled across Canada several times, as well as the US and travelled extensively in Europe.
Dad spent his final days in Yuculta Lodge, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Dry as well as the amazing staff at Yuculta Lodge, from the day dad moved to Yuculta Lodge, the loving, caring, kindness and compassion shown by all members of the staff was above and beyond our expectation and we will be forever grateful.
There will be no service as per his request.
