In Loving Memory ~
Born Hanover, Germany, August 1927 - Died Langley, B.C., Canada, January 2024.
Predeceased by his wife Ella in 2022. Survived by twin brother Dietram Zell of Vancouver, his sister Gudrun Neuman of Dusseldorf Germany, children Annette, Peter and Rolf, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Major world events in his formative years shaped a complex thinker, never truly understood by many.
He thought and spoke of his thoughts on his terms. No matter the consequences. He loved a good debate with anybody on his topics of expertise and usually won, it couldn't be any other way!
Many thanks to the staff and volunteers of Langley Hospice Society for their compassionate care during Dad's stay.
He will be missed! Rest in peace Dad.
A memorial is planned on February 24th at Northview Golf and Country Club Surrey, B.C., between 12:30 and 3:00 pm, please contact Annette Gerig: agerig10@gmail.com for information as details have not been finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Guntram to Langley Hospice Society are graciously recommended.
