In Loving Memory ~

Gordon Paul Gattafoni, 88, of Trail, BC, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024 with his family by his side. Born on June 23, 1936, in Trail BC, Gordon lived a full life centered on family, community, and hard work.

In 1958, Gordon joined the RCMP and spent seven years stationed in Northern Alberta, a career he was incredibly proud of. In 1965, he returned to Trail, where he owned and operated several local businesses. He was employed by Cominco (Teck) for years working in many roles including security consultant and gate house. Gordon's love for his hometown showed in everything he did, including serving four terms as a City of Trail Councillor, always striving to make his community better. He also volunteered for many organizations including The Colombo Lodge, The Knights of Columbus, People Loving People and Festa Italiana.

Gordon leaves behind his loving wife, Marlise; his children, Ron (Sara) and Carmen (Robert); and his cherished grandchildren, Max (Apryl), Paige (Madison), Alexa (Nick), Bryce, and Myah, who were the light of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Carmen, his sister Helen, his brother Father Stephen Gattafoni, and his sister Eleanor Gattafoni-Robinson.

The family is deeply grateful to Dr. Joseph Yo, the staff at Trail Regional Hospital, the BC Ambulance Service, the Trail Firefighters and the nurses and support workers from Interior Health for their compassionate care.

Gordon lived life his way- full of one liners and humor, the love for family, and his dedication to community involvement.
