February 23, 1950 - January 11, 2022
After 15 1/2 years as a double lung transplant recipient Gordon Edward Foss (Gord) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the loving arms of his wife Ruth.
Gord was born in Camrose, AB on February 23, 1950. He spent the first 4 yrs. growing up in Round Hill, AB before moving to Surrey, BC with his family.
He left home at the young age of 13, working in various jobs and sowing his wild oats.
In 1973 he moved to Ft. McMurray and joined the teamsters. Later he joined the Operating Engineers 955 and drove heavy equipment until 2006 when he had his transplant.
In 1984 he met his soulmate Ruth while visiting in Creston. Together they raised Ruth's 2 sons, Jim and Sam. Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycles, traveling and a cold beer.
He is survived and will be forever remembered by his loving wife Ruth, step-son Sam (Taryne); Daughter Dychelle (Don); daughter Dychelle and grandchildren Jack, Noah, Reid, Sam, Brooklyn and Sarrah and extended family, great grandchildren Jackson and Malykai and many, many brothers and sisters.
Gord was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Joyce and step-mother Rose, his brother Rory and sister Leona and step-son Jim.
Gord will be in the hearts of those who loved him forever.
