Gloria May Rumsey passed away on Saturday, March 4th at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 90 years. Gloria is survived by her children; Brian (Lynda), Wayne, Karen (Dave), Roberta (Ben), 9 grandchildren; Sarah, Katelyn, Jordan, Valerie, Kenn, Jaymi, Jadin, Rachel and Dez, and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Rumsey, her mother, father and two brothers.
Gloria was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, later spending summers and weekends in Columbia Valley and moving there in her high school years. She left the farm after high school, after deciding to become a registered nurse. Gloria met her husband Kenneth while working at VGH, later moving to Chilliwack to start their family. After children, she worked at the Coqualeetza Hospital, and then later for Dr. MacLeod. Gloria was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She was a respecting professional. Mom will be truly missed.
To honor Gloria's wishes, the family will hold a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of Choice.
