November 10, 1965 - October 22, 2022
In loving memory ~
"Unc" passed away at the Ty Watson Hospice House in Port Alberni on October 22nd, 2022, after a furious battle with a rare type of cancer. He was throwing punches till the end & didn't go down easily. He was just shy of 57 years.
We'd like to thank Dr. Woodley & the staff at Ty Watson House for their love, compassion, kindness & skills that got Glenn & our family through this difficult time. We also send our appreciation to the Yates Memorial Services in both Port Alberni & Parksville, we are so grateful to you all.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents Larry & Marie Doucette & leaves behind sister Judi, niece Ashley (Sean), nephews Travis, Scott & Darren (Myers). He also has 3 great-nieces Elena, Jade & Amila, & 1 great-nephew, Riley.
Glenn was born in Victoria on November 10th, 1965 & has been a going concern every day since then! He was raised in the Cowichan Valley with a couple of moves to Red Deer & the Sunshine Coast, & ended up in Port Alberni. He enjoyed hunting & fishing, & building model cars & airplanes with Dad, & had several dogs as a boy. He loved driving cars & bikes of any kind. If it moved, he'd ride it... the faster the better! He loved loud music & scary movies, & always had a beer in 1 hand & a smoke in the other. He played baseball & was a member of the Navy League of Canada for many years. We did a lot of camping all over the Island as kids, but Glenn loved our Cowichan River the most. While creating his own obituary, Glenn wished to extend his apologies & regrets to people he had hurt throughout his life.
There will be no service, but feel free to donate to the Hospice Society or give blood.
Cheers Unc!
Give our love to Nana & Papa!
XO
Happy birthday Glenn
