May 13, 1922 – January 18, 2022
Born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Georgette grew up in Gracefield, Quebec after moving there at the age of 2. In 1956 she moved to BC to help an uncle for a time. From there she began a series of jobs, including cooking, under primitive conditions, in logging camps and working in the Britco offices at the Bennett Dam in Hudson Hope.
She moved to Chilliwack BC in 1974 where she worked at various jobs and was active in the local bowling league.
Georgette was a remarkable person. Although she became legally blind, she was determined to remain independent in every way. And she did.
She is survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins both in Quebec and British Columbia.
She will be sadly missed. No service per Georgette’s wishes.
