In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Lucien Galarneau on October 29, 2022, at the EKRH, with Family at his side.
George was born in Saskatchewan on April 28th, 1934 to Marie and Joseph Galarneau. They moved to Cranbrook in 1951.
George (aka Dad and Poppa) met and married his First Wife Arlene Todd in 1956. Arlene passed in 1972.
George met Jayne Garner in Cranbrook and they were married in October 1986. They were together for almost 40 years.
George was always a hardworking and caring man in his family, community and work life. He worked for many years in the transportation industry, mostly for Miller and Brown Freightways, and retired as Terminal Manager from Byers Transport. He was an active member of the community whether through ACT, curling, the legion or other.
George enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pool with his Friends, and spending time with his Family. He was a quiet man with few words, but listened and always paid attention and was there for those who needed it.
