Geoffrey Stuart Vale (90) passed away peacefully after a long journey with dementia on January 23, 2024 in Nanaimo, B.C.
Geoff was born in Sunderland, England on April 27, 1933, to Sidney & Rita Vale.
He had an extensive career in the marine industry, working in varying capacities within the Merchant Navy, Transport Canada and other organizations.
Geoff was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann.
He is survived by his children, Jane (Julian), Chris (Lori), Tim (Tanis) and Malcolm (Tiera).
Geoff is also survived by his grandchildren Amanda, Kraig, Emily, Rachel, Stephanie, Rebecca and Courtney as well as 5 great-grandchildren.
