Geneva Gail Reynen

August 18, 1962 - August 6, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and favourite Auntie, Geneva Gail Reynen (nee Goodey), on Sunday, August 6th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Geneva was born to William (Bud) and Myrna Goodey in Chilliwack, BC on August 18th, 1962.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Martin, 4 children Sean Goodey (Amanda), Lisa Danyluk (Michael), Lauren Reynen (Kyle Rykuiter), and Samuel Reynen (Emma Potts) and her 5 wonderful grandsons Landon, Braeden, Benjamin, Leo and Jack.
She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Barbara (Al), Loyal (Colleen), and Brenda (Jim), mother-in-law Betsy Reynen, sister-in law Carol-Ann, brother-in-laws Gordon(Louise) and Ron (Marie) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Geneva was loved by many, her kindness, compassion and selflessness was an inspiration and we are incredibly humbled and proud of her commitment to her family, community and to her work. She touched the lives of many working as a support worker at St. Mary's Catholic School in Chilliwack, and then as a care aide for over 20 years at Glenwood Senior's Community in Agassiz, and Waverly Senior's Village in Chilliwack, caring for all as if they were her own.
Geneva will always be remembered for her generosity, humanity, and her fun-loving spirit. Even in her most challenging moments, her strength and positivity were unwavering.
There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the people that helped and supported Geneva and our family during this difficult time and we thank you for playing your part in her journey. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors of Cascade Hospice for the exceptional care they provided over the past few months.
A viewing for family and friends will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a Catholic funeral mass at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC. All are welcome to come and join in the celebration of Geneva's life.
