August 25, 1957 – July 26, 2023
Gail passed away peacefully, after a brave & courageous 3 1/2 year struggle with brain cancer. She spent her final 2 months of life at Holmberg House Hospice Care, where she was surrounded by family, friends and co-workers.
She was treated with great kindness and dignity by her health care professionals.
Gail is the daughter of Albert & Theresa Beitel who also passed away here in Abbotsford.
We remember her as a very friendly, caring, wonderful person, wife, mother, grandmother who was loved by many, especially her husband Richard; her two daughters Jean & Laura, her two sons Ian & James, (also a daughter stillborn at full term, Anne); sons-in-law Craig & Dustin; daughter-in-law Jennifer; and her 9 grandchildren, Grace, Caroline, William, Lily, Charli, Brooke, Abigale, Carter, and Madeline.
Graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary in 1975, she worked here at the Save-On pharmacy (S. Fraser Way) for many years, until deciding on another challenge with Abbotsford Hospital (pharmacy).
Married July 1, 1978, 45 years.
Gail was known for being so very generous with her time, and her baking, and her beautiful garden flowers (which she shared with friends).
She had a beautiful heart and a smile that was always full of love. Gail also enjoyed the art of canning, a skill that she was happy to pass on to any who were interested in learning.
Gail is at peace, she is in the presence of her spiritual family, bathed in the light and love of Christ the Lord.
A celebration of life event is planned for late September.Obituary-
