It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our loving son and brother, Gage.
Born and raised in Mission, BC, Gage grew up with a love for playing hockey. His talent and dedication took him to the WHL to play for the Saskatoon Blades in 2005, until an injury ended his hockey career. Gage always felt strong encouragement and support from his favourite person, his Grandpa Ed, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.
Following his hockey career, Gage spent some time in Cold Lake, Alberta, where he worked on the pipeline and took up competitive boxing. He was tough as nails, and there was no craft he couldn't master.
From a very young age, Gage was a fierce protector of all those he cared about. We will always remember him for his animated sense of humour, quick wit, and legendary hugs.
Gage spent his last ten years in Lillooet, BC doing what he loved to do most: hunting, fishing, and exploring the mountain. Some of his best days were spent working as a fish tech on Bridge River.
Gage is predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Marge Grant, and Edward and Elsie Berkner.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Guy and Sharon, and his best friend and sister, Dayna. He will be deeply missed by his many friends, family, and beloved dog, Tuco.
A celebration of life will be held for Gage at the Best Western Plus in Mission, BC on Thursday, March 31st from 1-3pm.
