In loving memory ~
Sadly, on December 17th Fredrick Paul Duchman passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 71.
In his younger days, Fred was known as an incredible athlete, skiing being one of the sports he loved! Not only good, but some would also say legendary. He raced as a teenager, and later raced as an adult. Alpine ski racing also was time spent as a family with both children participating in the racing program along with many hours of volunteering for the Revelstoke Ski Club.
Fred also enjoyed mountaineering and ski touring with ascents in the Rogers pass, Peru and Mt Raineer. If he wasn't in the mountains he spent many days fishing and boating on the lakes around Revelstoke. Fred worked as an Engineer for CPR, retiring when he was 55.
He travelled to Thailand where he met and married Darnee. Fred lived in Thailand for 10 years and returned to Canada due to poor health.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Stephanie and Paul Duchman. Fred leaves behind his daughter, Jennifer, FSJ, son, Wade, two grandsons, Micha and Jacob, Golden, sisters, Sharon (Archie) McGillvry, Enderby , Debbie (Warren) Smith, Revelstoke, Deanna (Jim) Choppen, Kamloops, nieces, Lauren, Amanda, Kelcy and nephew Cole.
