Esther Forster passed away peacefully at Chemainus Health Centre on Jan. 23 at 12:30 a.m, with family at her side. Esther has been a resident of Chemainus, BC for the past 11 years.
Esther was born in Burnaby BC, Nov 11/24 and lived in the Vancouver/Burnaby areas until 1959 when Esther and husband, Gordon, and family, moved to Quesnel to open Forsters Auto Supply Ltd.
Two services are planned for Esther. A Service and Interment to take place
Jan.28 /11 at 2 pm. in Quesnel at St. John’s Anglican Church on Kinchant St., with a tea to follow at the Anglican Church Hall.
A later Memorial, Celebration of Life, will take place in Chemainus in April/11.
Esther is survived by her 4 children – Ginnie Webb of Quesnel, Sharon (Art Soles) of Chemainus, Shirley (Martin) Ritchie of Quesnel and Joe (Debbie) Forster of Port Alberni, and 5 grandchildren, Cindy (George) Paul and Ron (Kathy) Dunn of Quesnel, Cathy (Fred) Hetu of Clinton, Janice (Sandy) McCullough of Kelowna and Joanne (Paul) Gislasen of Aldergrove, and 9 great-grandchildren. Esther was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, of 49 years, her loving partner, John Travers and her great-grandson, Christopher Hetu.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. John’s Anglican Church or the Quesnel Palliative organization.
