Ernie Goertzen, age 85 passed away peacefully at the Cascade Care Home on June 5. He was born in Hythe, Alberta and moved with his family to Chilliwack in his youth. Leaving the family farm, he embarked on a career, first in construction, and later in Large Scale Development, which keep him busy well into his 70s. Ernie leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years, Betty Lou, his sons Rob and Ken and their respective spouses and children. He also leaves behind an additional immediate family member, Chuck Stade and family. He is survived by four sisters, Frieda, Margaret, Irene, and Ruth and families.
