It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Marion (Elma) Browett on June 21, 2023.
Elma was born December 9, 1948, in Tighnabruaich, Scotland to George and Mary Westwood.
She was an artist who loved her family, friends, and frogs.
Elma is survived by her husband, Michael Phelan, her son Ian, and her daughter Elaine. Grandchildren Connor, Bronson, and Rhiannon, two great-granddaughters Hope, Persephone, and her siblings Avril and George.
There will be a Celebration of Elma’s life at 1 p.m. on August 19, 2023, in the common room of Madrona Village, 25 Pryde Ave, Nanaimo, B.C.
