We are saddened to announce that on November 15, 2003 Earlington (Earl) David James White passed away after a battle with cancer. Earl was born Jan. 6, 1924, he grew up in Edmonton and surrounding area. He served overseas with the Canadian Military Service Core, as a truck driver. Earl retired to Armstrong in 1986, after 46 years of truck driving Canada & the U.S. A. Survived by his loving wife of 19 years Mary who will miss him dearly. Also survived by his children, Eloise Scott, Linda Manning, Richard (Gundi), Darrel (Debbie), Margarett Froning (Dave). Mary’s children Joyce Case (Bill), Leroy Ergang (Tammy), Gloria Gerlinski (Shawn), Heather Webster (Wayne), Lila Eli (Gerry), Karen Harrison (Ray Couture), his brothers and sisters, Violet MacCulloch, Kenneth (Rachel Lord), Clarance (Phillis), Clare Stewardson (Jack), Marina, Stanley (Isabel), and 28 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Earl was predeceased by his mother Isabel Katherine and Father Carl Earlington, brother Gabril, sister Myrtle, and one great grandchild Darren. Our families would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at the Vernon Hospice House for making Earl’s last days so comfortable and for supporting Mary and family members through this difficult time. We ask that in lieu of flowers donations to be made to, Vernon and District Hospice Society, 3506-27th Ave., Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35, in Armstrong, B.C.
