Duane’s family is saddened and heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on September 1st, following a short illness. He was 75 years young.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heather, his daughter Jaime, grandson Ryan, his son Michael, grandson Kieran, grandchildren Taylor and Taysha, stepdaughters Tenille (Logan) Eley and Tiffany (Jimmy) Withnall, and grandchildren Jax & Brynn Eley and Harper & Mason Withnall.
He was predeceased by his eldest son, Scott, in 2022.
Duane was born and raised in Weyburn, SK, and will always be the cherished favourite brother of his sisters, Janice Hintz (Aimee) of Medicine Hat, AB, and Debby Marriott (Allan) of Yorkton, SK.
Duane worked in Radio Broadcasting for more than 50 years, beginning his career in Weyburn, SK, and moving onto Regina, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Kelowna, and Vernon. To him, it was never work, as Radio and Music were his passions.
Duane and Heather were fortunate to have enjoyed many wonderful vacations throughout their 29 years of marriage to different parts of Mexico, Hawaii, Australia, and the Caribbean.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 1st, in the Desert Cove Recreation Hall, 155 Head of the Lake Rd Vernon, BC, at 1 p.m. Luncheon to follow.
