Doreen Brook of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by her family.
She was one of us.
Born in Lumberton, BC, and grew up in Cranbrook, BC, then lived her life in Calgary, AB.
She was a passionate golfer, reader, hiker, and an established watercolour painter, rarely turning away from a controversial topic or conversation.
She was a fighter; while illnesses appeared consistently later in life, she fought her way back to health numerous times.
Most of all, she was a wife, mother, and grandmother. We loved her and will never forget her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, 11:00 AM, Thursday July 10, 2025
