In loving memory ~
Kelly was born and raised in Port Alberni, B.C., son of Ralph and Rosella (nee Fisher) Busche. After earning his Ph.D. in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Kelly taught economics in Canada as well as Hong Kong. Diagnosed with MS in 1997, he endured its effects that slowly took his memory, his cognition and finally, his life, on July 2, 2023. Kelly passed away peacefully thanks to the superior and caring staff at Astoria at Origin, Nanaimo, B.C. He is survived by his twin daughters, Emily and Meaghan Horner in the United States, siblings Ron Busche and Janet Busche Walker on Vancouver Island, dear friends in Vancouver and Hong Kong, as well as extended family in Bruno, Imperial and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. No flowers by request.
