In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Domenica Santucci announces her passing on May 11th, 2023, at 87 years old. She now joins her beloved late husband, Gaetano Santucci. Domenica was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She came to Canada in 1960, from Forino, Italy, to begin her new life with Gaetano in the Kootenays. After welcoming a son, they moved to Nelson in 1964. She called Nelson home for the remainder of her life, where she enjoyed time with family, gardening, watching wrestling and crossword puzzles. She loved her family immensely, and this was often shown by providing delicious Italian meals.
Domenica is survived by her son, Bruno (Georgia), her grandchildren Matthew (Daria), Sara (Luke), Sheena, and her great-grandchildren Isabella, Isaiah, Anze, Noah, and nephews and nieces in both Canada and Italy. She is predeceased by her husband, Gaetano, her parents, and all her brothers and sisters.
