It is with sadness that the family announces the sudden death of Dieter on July 1, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
Dieter was born in Berlin and immigrated to Canada in 1957. His training as a pressman in the printing industry included employment at D.W Friesen Printers in Altona, MB, and Pollard Banknote in Winnipeg and Kamloops.
Dieter and his wife Verna resided in Winnipeg, but their retirement took them to Sorrento, B.C.
Dieter is survived by his wife Verna of almost 59 years, sons Darrel, and Dave (Sarah) and grandsons Jonah and Matthew.
The family thanks The First Responders, Ambulance Personnel, RCMP, Coroners Services, Dr. J Levins and Fischer’s Funeral Services.
A very special thank you to neighbours Melanie, Jodi and Don who were at the home the morning of July 1.
A private graveside service will be held, followed by a Celebration of Life in Manitoba in October.
