In Loving Memory ~
It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness to announce the loss of Dean R. Dyer. Dean passed away surrounded by many family and friends.
Dean leaves behind the love of his life Ivann and his two children his son Justin and his wife Juliette. His daughter Ashley and her partner Nick along with his daughters Jayden and Carly. His beloved grandchildren Isabelle, Evan, Saige and Corbin. He also leaves behind his sister Jan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dean was born and raised in Chilliwack BC. He was a tree faller for over 20 years and he became one of the best in the business, the backwoods were his sanctuary. He was involved in many activities but his real passions were hockey and fishing. He played Junior hockey for Penticton Broncos and Merritt Centennials during his youth.
If you look at the entrance of the new Sardis Sports Complex you will find Dean forever memorialized in the picture. Many legendary stories were born when he was on the ice. His other passion was fishing and he spent many hours on the Vedder and Fraser river teaching many how to tie lines.
He had the gift of gab anywhere he would go, he had many stories to share and was always willing to take the time to talk. He will miss his Monday night men's group and all his friends of Bill W where he attended for many years and made many strong friendships.
He was a huge presence to all that knew him and he will be very missed. He was a true legend.
The Dyer family would like to thank the Chilliwack home health nurses and Cascade hospice for all the support. Special family mention to the Suzuki family as Gwen, his hockey mom truly held a special place in Dean's heart. Carol, we would all like to thank you for your many years of support to Dean.
The Dyer family would like to thank Tammy and David Jimmie for their support at this time.
