February 15, 1932 - April 5, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

David Gordon Eaton (Pops) passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on April 5, 2024.

Dave will be lovingly remembered by Jeanette, his wife of 70 years, son Dean (Debbie), grandchildren Jennifer (Brett), Bryan (Donna), and great-grandchildren Alexander, Zachary, North, and Rose. He will be missed by the families of the Eatons, Allardices, Reids, Potvins, Watsons, Hills, and the many friends and co-workers who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Sadly, Pops was predeceased by the apple of his eye, Daughter Leslie, in 1983

Born in Vancouver on February 15, 1932, his family later moved to Deep Cove where he met Jeanette. They would marry in 1953 and raise their family in Deep Cove, Nanoose Bay, Ladysmith, and a very special summer cabin up Indian Arm.

Dave was extremely proud of his working life, the majority of it being at Vancouver Shipyards in North Vancouver.

Retirement brought travel with Jeanette and friends, and also his love of watching his grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryan, with their sports and activities Soccer, Baseball, and Hockey, not to mention many fantastic fishing trips! These were things he truly cherished.

Pops was a kind, hardworking man, with great wit and a fantastic sense of humour. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring nurses and doctors at the Cowichan District Hospital.
