In loving memory ~
It is with the utmost heartache and grief that I have to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of my husband, best friend, my everything.
Finding the words to say goodbye to you has been nearly unbearable. Darrin, you were loving, kind, gentle and an absolute Gentleman. You truly were one of the good ones and I will be forever grateful for the 5 years we had together. We both knew we had found something amazing, and we cherished and celebrated that every day. We packed more love and memories in those 5 years than some do in a lifetime. Nothing was left unsaid, no regrets. Our last words to each other were "I love you" and for that, I am eternally grateful.
"Sometimes two people find each other both with broken foundations and they love each other, protect each other, and they build each other up to make a foundation that is UNBREAKABLE!"
Darrin was a West Coast faller for over 35 years and gave his all to his career. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking, Ford Trucks, the Blue Jays and country music....but most of all he cherished spending time with the ones he truly loved.
Darrin leaves behind and will be extremely missed by his wife and best friend Wendy Groot (Parksville) and in-laws, Wyatt and Tina Kamma.
Parents Fred and Bev Mcleod, brother Jeff, sons Matt (Nicole) and James (Alex), and daughter Ally (Dustin).
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place in the spring.
I love you, you will be in my heart forever.
