In loving memory ~
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Darren Edward Merrick on March 19th/2022 at the age of 55.
He was pre- deceased by his father Brian and leaves behind his wife of 33 years Debbie, son Kyle, and daughter Alanna, all of Nanaimo.
Also left to mourn are his mother Della of Parksville along with his sister Charmaine Lowe (Gordon), niece Mackenzie and nephews Harrison and Wesley all of Olathe, Kansas.
As well he leaves behind his sister-in-law Maria and her husband John Belrose of Powell River.
Also left are many aunts, uncles, cousins, his “Crane Family” and many many friends.
Like his Father, Darren loved cranes and everything about them. He recently pursued his dreams and started his own Company “Tiny Crane” which created a new spark to his smile.
He will be forever missed but held close in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A private family service was held.
