In loving memory ~

Conway Clark passed away peacefully May 17 at the age of 84, surrounded by his family, after a life lived with kindness, integrity, and joy.

Conway was born in Prince Rupert, BC, to James and Ethel Clark (née Macaulay). Alongside brothers Stuart, Malcolm, and Ian, he spent his early years on a farm near Victoria, getting into all sorts of shenanigans, and later moved around Canada with his father's Navy career. Following in those footsteps, Conway served as a Cadet in the Navy before studying at Carleton University in Ottawa.

It was there, on Parliament Hill, that he met the love of his life Hélène. They married in 1964 and shared over six decades of love, laughter, and partnership. Together, they raised three children: Mary-Anne (Paul, children Kristen and Kevin); Julia (Jim, children Daniella (Isaiah) and Dominic); and Bob (Brooks, children Isaac and Avery).

Conway spent more than 30 years as a Bank Manager with Scotiabank, where he supported his customers with steady kindness and professionalism. He was an active member of the Vernon Lions Club and the Kalamalka Fly Fishing Club, where he built deep friendships throughout his community.

He enjoyed curling, fishing, bridge, cribbage, and a good glass of scotch. Most of all, he cherished time spent with Hélène, whether travelling the world or exploring Cariboo lakes in their RV.

Conway's favourite saying was, "If you cannot say anything nice, don't say anything at all." He lived by those words, touching many lives with his gentleness, humour, and unwavering grace. His legacy is one of love and enduring family values. He will be in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Paddlewheel Park Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Conway's memory may be made to Vernon Hospice House.

May the waters be calm and the fish always biting. Tight lines!
