In Loving Memory ~
Connie was born on August 21, 1944 in Eriksdale, Manitoba, during a simpler time. She left us on June 16, 2023.
The Eriksdale farm was her first home along with Fred Andrews (dad), Agnes Andrews (nee Penny – mom) and siblings Myrtle, George, Albert (Bud), Russell, Freda and Eileen.
She completed high school in Eriksdale before continuing her education at the University of Manitoba where she achieved a Bachelor of Education degree. She also completed a Master of Education degree from San Diego State University.
Connie loved her job teaching elementary school, particularly at West Vernon Elementary. She loved the kids, and the kids loved her back because of her warm smile, youthful laughter and radiant positivity.
After her retirement in 2004, she and her wonderful husband, Bob Rinaldi, enjoyed years of hiking, camping and travelling. They could often be seen riding their tandem bike through the streets of Vernon.
Being outside was a major part of her life. She loved her daily walks (sometimes 2 or 3) where she would often stop to appreciate nature and to greet everyone she met with a warm smile and a kind word.
She leaves behind her husband Bob, her daughters Kristi Joba (Dale Littlejohn) and Shannon Joba (Doug Wong) and grandchildren Brady and Kelsey. She will also be missed by Bob’s children Darren (De) and Nicole as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Connie was vivacious, full of love, and a shining light to others. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bob and Connie’s residence from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
