June 19, 1981 - November 24, 2022
In loving memory ~
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Clarke Belton Rhoule on November 24, 2022. He was taken from us far too soon at the age of 41. Clarke was predeceased by his father, Verne in 1997, he is survived by his mother Sandra, his sister Crystal, his aunt Teresa Thom (Phil) his uncle, Al Dreyer (Pat), numerous cousins, and several friends.
Clarke was born in Kelowna District Hospital on June 10, 1981. He lived in Peachland, B.C. until he was 3 in 1984, the family moved to Crofton, B.C., then to Ladysmith, B.C. in 1991. Between the ages of 8 and 10, Clarke did fashion modelling for the Barbara Coultish Modeling Agency, while attending Crofton Elementary. He loved playing basketball. Later, when he attended Ladysmith Secondary School, he did well in track and field. While Clarke was a student at Ladysmith Secondary School, he was also very enthusiastic about playing the drums. He played in the concert band for three years, he was also very good at photography and writing poetry. When Clarke graduated from high school in 2000, he was nominated for the "courage to come back" award the same year. After graduation, he earned his diploma in Automotive Service Technician from Malaspina College (now Vancouver Island University). In June 2001, after working as an Auto Mechanic for 14 years, he was involved in a devastating motor vehicle accident leaving him with debilitating back injuries which led him to be unable to work. Clarke was intelligent, caring, and generous. He was well-liked by all who knew him and always enjoyed working on projects in his mom's garage. Especially building bikes. He also liked making one-of-a-kind objects. A very talented young man!
One of Clarke's biggest wishes was to get married and become a father, sadly this was never achieved. Clarke added so much brightness to so many lives and will be sadly missed. Special thanks to Clarkes family Doctor, Benjamin How. Also, to Laurie a new friend, and a helpful one with a heart of gold! A small, private family burial service took place this month. Telford's Burial and Cremation Centre.
