Carol Itani’s courageous fight with breast cancer ended peacefully at home surrounded by love on October 4th, 2011, at the age of 68 years young.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Bing, sons Gerry (Sherry), Glen (Giselle), sister Judy (Chris), aunt Jean (Harry) and her precious grandchildren: Tyler, Travis, Allyson, Sidney and Emma as well as many other family and friends.

Carol was selfless, she always put other people’s needs before her own. Her passion was her family and of course, her beloved garden that she could get lost in for hours. Carol was born in Victoria, British Columbia and was raised in North Vancouver. Later in life she moved her young family to Forest Grove where her boys grew up. Carol was a longtime resident of 100 Mile House and loved the small town feel, and the charm of the people.

Carol’s courageous spirit and fortitude gave her family and friends the necessary strength throughout her illness. She will be sadly missed.

Carol Itani, you are now free as the wind, you have shed your cocoon and are now a beautiful butterfly…

We want to say a very special thank-you to everyone who helped her through this terrible illness, Dr Street, the amazing Home support staff; Cathy, Sarah, Roxanne and Moe, we can never thank you enough for all that you have done.
